First fic

Hey, how come the header seems bigger than the fic. itself?

Disclaimer: much as I would love to, I’m not allowed to own the lads


With screeching tyres, he leapt from the car and then, taking the stairs three at a time, stormed into the flat.

“DOYLE!” But the reverberating silence only confirmed his fear that he’d left it too late and, cursing himself, he slumped to his knees.


In despair, Bodie almost missed the imperceptible gasp of surprise but then he didn’t need to look up to know that his partner was standing motionless in the doorway.

Eventually he broke the month’s petulant silence. “It was never JUST sex, Ray”.

“I know.”


Finally, with immense relief, he closed the gap to the stubborn bastard.

Oh, my! I have been blown away by the responses to my little fic. Thank YOU for the encouragement - however, I have no idea where the next one will come from. Maybe a hug with the lads will give me inspration *g*

I love the twist in this. You led me on that it was an operation, then it was Ray's flat, and everything was going to be alright. And you did all that in 100 words! I love your style. Looking forward to more of this.

I have only recently started enjoying drabbles but they are little treasures aren't they? I knew what I wanted to say but making it interesting AND succinct was so hard. What a relief that you could see the twist. Thanks for reading.

I really will try but I am not a prolific writer, having taken 30 odd years just to write 100 words about my favourite lads! Thanks for the 'thumbs up' though.

.....always a sucker for puppy-dog-eyes - however I woke up Sunday morning with the inspiration for this drabble, so I'll just have to hope that I dream about the lads again soon. Tonight, if possible!
